Anyway, I thought I would show some pictures of these ATC's that I just finished. They are for a swap at the ATC forum. If you do ATC's, you must check this site out. Personally, I think it's the best for info on techniques, help, swaps - and not just for ATC's, all sorts of art! I've learned a lot there, and I've had so much fun swapping and trading ATC's.
The first one is "Trick or Treat." It is a papercutting with a little quilled pumpkin added for color. Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my martinis, and how I love experimenting with them. In honor of the season, I have come up with the "Halloweenie-tini", with a pumpkin instead of an olive. It's done in watercolors.
Next is another papercutting and collage with some inkjet transfers. The background is done with a china marker. The caption says, "So whatever you do, don't open the door." It doesn't show up well here, but it shows up pretty well on the actual ATC.
This was my first attempt at a folded ATC. I think I did his hands too big, but I wanted them to cover his face. He's done in watercolors and the caption is an inkjet transfer: "Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet, Give me Something Good to Eat." I found a cool font that would put a black cat in for a comma and I put cats at the beginning and end.
It was hard to let these go, but it always is with these swaps, but then you have the anticipation of waiting for the mail to see what you'll get in return. I've never been disappointed - they are always works of art!
